We're all finding out that sugar is a bad thing. And too much sugar is a terrible thing. But something we discovered on a trip to Sri Lanka, is that some sugars are better than others.

This discovery is what led three friends, with the help of a farmer, to start the Happy Sugar Co.

The Happy Sugar Co has one simple mission: to bring you the purest, healthiest, natural sugar.


You see, Happy Sugar is made from 100% pure Sri Lankan Kithul nectar, from the Kithul palm tree. 

It is highly prized in its native Sri Lanka. But even there, it's hard to find it without white sugar added.

Happy Sugar retains many of the minerals and trace elements that are routinely stripped out of most other sugars - and don't even get us started on High Fructose Corn Syrup : (

Therefore Happy Sugar is a natural source of B vitamins, iron, and other trace elements.

And as it's a tapped and distilled plant nectar, it is also vegan.

It has been used extensively, for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine.

Happy Sugar has a GI of 35, which is the same as carrots and is remarkably low for sugar.

It is also naturally sweeter than regular sugar, which we've found means, you can use less.

It's important to us that all our packaging is recyclable and 100% plastic-free. This includes the clear label, which is made of renewable and sustainable wood-pulp. Which makes it 100% domestic compostable.
